School of Excellence
Schools can formalize their students’ collaboration with our coaches and project partners.
Our non-formal model is that students form Changemaker Student Clubs and self-organize activities, communicate with our global tribe via social media and video-meets …
Our formal model is that a selected group of student leaders get weekly YL Coaching sessions with tasks and support for their self-chosen missions for local and global issues with local partners and global YL Project Partners … for 1 academic year of 10 months.
Teachers decide to establish High Impact Youth Leadership at school and to be open to students’ passion and to strongly support them with what they needÂ
They issue a Call to Student Leaders on fire to take action for people and planet on diverse issues, emphasizing that they will support as they can
Students apply to get enrolled in the program and commit to weekly sessions and activities, some aligned with their interests, some basic tasks and challenges, a mix to Activate The City and global projects
We select 5 to 12 student leaders, have deep interviews with them, they unite as a Changemaker Student Club for common essential actions, plus they have their own priority projects and help each other out
Their activities reach into school space and classrooms, involve and influence, mentor their peers > also students not enrolled in the program can join the Student Club and organize projects, participate in video-meets, benefit from YL Coach meetings etc
Their activities reach into public space and can lead to activating other schools, to creating a LearnSpace, an Outer School HQ, a YL Magazine Local Issue and more
THERE WILL BE LOTS OF SURPRISE ALONG THE WAY.
